MLR Charity Ride - Stella Burry Foundation

The MLR Charity Prize Ride for the Stella Burry Foundation marks the end of the MLR 2008 charity ride season and with 31 participants, it was a great way to end MLR’s inaugural season. Thank you to all participants for giving your time, energy and cash donation. With your help, we raised $310.00, which will be presented to the Stella Burry Foundation.

The Stella Burry Foundation provides community based residential services for individuals aged 16 and over who are in need of support, counseling and protection as a result of abuse, psychiatric difficulties, family violence or breakdown, discrimination and alienation. The agency develops, manages and facilitates access to decent affordable housing for individuals living in poverty and in need of supports to live independently in the community.

Other services include providing intensive service coordination and home support services to persons with complex mental health problems; the delivery of supportive employment programs, various community economic development initiatives; and a long term housing project.
